Hi! I’m a painter and illustrator based in Antwerp, Belgium.

I've always had two great passions: painting and language. I could spend days drawing or painting, or reading and learning. As I grew older, I chose to become a language teacher. However, I never stopped creating and painting.

Even though I absolutely love being a language teacher, I missed the visual arts too much, so I took evening classes to learn the skill of oilpainting. In the past I had only worked with pencils, markers, acrylics and watercolors, but I fell in love with oilpaint immediately. It encouraged me to use my brushes more often again and redefined how I saw myself artistically. My love for language can still be found in my works’ titles.

On this website, I’ve collected some of the works I like best. I have prints available of most of the works you see here; originals are often available for purchase as well.
